You can start your day with a jog around the shaded pathways of Victoria Park, which is a seven-minute walk from your Leicester university accommodation. Afterwards, refuel at Room V. Grab an iced coffee to go, or make plans to meet friends for delicious breakfast waffles. Spend weekends browsing the boutiques in The Lanes, then make your way to the Cultural Quarter to catch a show at Curve Theatre or watch an indie movie at Phoenix Cinema & Art Centre.

It’s seven minutes’ walk to Leicester railway station and, if you have your own car, there’s parking available. Walk to the city centre in 17 minutes, or catch the bus from the stop that’s two minutes from your door. Head to the shops at Highcross Leicester to update your wardrobe, or stay closer to home and check out the Ancient Egyptian collection at New Walk Museum & Art Gallery.
